Issue with K-1

The only issue I had was the entry of the K-1 code "V" issue on line 17. The program kept taking me back to line 17 with giving me no information why there was an error. I finally found the issue was form D1 was missing the QBI loss amount. It would have been helpful if the program could give a helpful hint to review all entries on the K-1.

Excellent Customer Service

I am sure the product works better if I weren't filling a return that I missed in 2022, but because I couldn't upload documents directly from my brokerage account or my computer, it was difficult and thanks to the very helpful support team, I was able to manage. It was great to just have someone look at what I was entering. Also, Marquis stayed over the cut-off work hours to walk be through some pressing issues because I was very confused. ,

Great this year, not so much next.

I have used TurboTax for years, but unfortunately this may be my last time. I am very disappointed that you will not be providing a desktop version of TurboTax2025 because of the Windows 10 security update issue. This forces me to either use the online version or purchase a new computer with Windows 11. Neither of which is satisfactory to me. I can't believe you can't figure some way to keep the desktop product available.

Overall Good Product

Turbo Tax does a good job of most tax functions/input. I haven't used anything else in a very long time, so I can't determine how it compares. I do have some disappointment in trying to figure out how the software works for certain relatively complex areas, such as Qualified Business Income (QBI) deduction, Rental Real Estate (qualifying for passive vs. non-passive treatment and Real Estate Professional determination, grouping/aggregation of multiple properties), etc. I put questions in the forum, researched thru google, etc. The forum wasn't too helpful. I was reluctant to sign up for the $60+- cost for professional assistance without knowing if they could help or not. And if they couldn't help, I really didn't want to pay. So based on what I thought the results should be, I worked with the TT input until it made sense to me. But it would have been very easy to pay more tax than I should have.

Very Good Product- But has bugs

I have been using desktop TurboTax for many years and will continue to do so in the future. However, in the last two years I have found bugs in the K1 section which I reported last year, but they have not been fixed. The problems are limited to the K1 and K3 forms. Other than these sections I have been very pleased with TurboTax. When entering K1 information, the program presents address and ownership info and asks if it is correct. If it is not and you correct it, the corrections are not saved so after saving the file and reopening, the old erroneous info appears. There also seems to be problems entering K3 data which led to the program finding errors. I spent a very long time with a TurboTax support person who found a way to correct the errors, by overwriting the erroneous entries - not an ideal solution.
