Turbo Tax needs some serious fixes.

New user interface is complicated and confusing to use, you are not sure you got all of your data entered. You are better off just picking what section you want to work on and doing it manually. And you need to stop asking about importing data, give an option immediately to opt out of that and input your data yourself. It takes too much time to keep going back and forth between the forms and the data input to figure out where you are. Also, every time you logon, you have to update the application, takes an eternity. Estimated Taxes payments amounts should be shown in the application. Now if you want to see your estimated taxes payment for next year, you have to switch to forms view and look up the form, unnecessarily cumbersome and wasted time, especially if you are trying to fine tune that amount.

Worse interface and more glitches

Product has gotten so much worse. The interface becomes less and less intuitive. Particularly entering 1099 forms is miserable and in some cases impossible on Mac desktop version.

2024 TurboTax and Support are Spectacular!

I've had very good outcomes the last few years with support (expert advise) I've received to complete my tax returns. Most impressive is the quick under 5 minute calls received from the time help is requested.

TurboTax no longer awesome

Some carryforward items from last year's state return did NOT carryforward, requiring redundant manual entries. Also, the product is less streamlined than prior years' versions. Finally, the $25 state e-filing fee is exorbitant.
