Never Try to File an Amended Return

I am trying to file an amended return because of updated broker information. My unamended return was fine: refund received, state paid, etc. I have corrected the dividend information using the amend your return process. TurboTax now thinks I have income from a second state, which is incorrect; it won't delete the incorrect state information. The amended return also will not e-file because it does not recognize that I e-filed the original return (which I did). Filing my original return was painless; amending the return is literally impossible.

TurboTax continues to meet my expectations!

I wouldn't use anything else. I've doing my taxes with TurboTax for over 25 years. Very intuitive and easy to use.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments

Very poor experience with form 8938

It's disappointing that indicating on form 8938 that you filed a form 3520 (always filed on paper, outside TurboTax) causes TurboTax to refuse to e-file any of your returns. it waits until you try to e-file before refusing to do it. It's not an IRS restriction. Turns out that this has been a problem for years which Intuit has failed to address. Otherwise, TurboTax (desktop version) has been fairly good at correctly filing my taxes.

Best tax software ever!

Glitch on how I answered sow of the questions raised my tax liability. Had to submit an amended return once I made the corrections. Turbo Tax halped me through the process.

The Premier package has been improved this year. Not having to connect a CD drive to install it is a real convenience. The help I got from your "live" customer service was a big help and is the MAIN REASON I keep using TurboTax each year. In particular Israel got me past my main stumbling block and was very helpful. You might mention that for each 1099R the RMD required should be calculated e.g. using the Schwab QCD Calculator and the amount entered in the appropriate box. Also, the questions regarding prior year Roth conversions were confusing. I left amounts blank following your fine print suggestions.
For the Colorado State return, you might mention that for all the many Credits, taxes and other situations which do not apply, leave the amount boxes blank rather than entering zeros. This saves a lot of hassle when the Review is started. For Additional Qualifying Charitable Contributions, you might mention that QCDs do not qualify since they are excluded from Federal tax.
All things considered the software is really pretty good. Thank you!

The Turbo Tax Help Person Was Great

I ran into a Review error on my state return related to a K1 that was entered during the Federal tax entry process and was pointed to a form entry that needed to be changed. But the TurboTax program would not allow me to change the highlighted number. The TT program should provide more info and instructions on HOW to fix such a review Review error.
I paid 60 dollars for TurboTax tax help. I must say, the help was fantastic. I got a quick call. The expert was patient and very knowledgeable. He figured out how to fix the Review error and led me through the steps. Review error FIXED. The TurboTax shared screen tool worked great.
