Chelsey provided top-notch tax help

I want to highly praise Chelsey in customer service for helping me understand Kiddie Tax. it was my first time filing it. I have a background in accounting, so I like to understand the forms Turbo Tax generates. I could not wrap my head around this one -- between the IRS special instructions and the way that Turbo Tax created it's own worksheets. Talking with Chelsey was so pleasant and fun. She dove right in with me in understanding the details of the worksheets and giving me the confidence that we had filled the forms out correctly. If I need to fill out Kiddie Tax forms again, I will definitely use Turbo Tax again.
I wish Turbo Tax changed their worksheet forms to have the correct line instructions rather than putting a small asterisk that was hard to notice. I also wish Turbo Tax made it more obvious that I needed to add siblings' income (rather than calling it "child income") and more obvious the definitions of Net Qualified Dividends, Total Net Capital Gain, and Net Capital Gain. I found the answers by digging and clicking on links, but I made mistakes on my own until I talked with Chelsey, who helped me see those fine details. Chelsey saved the day and was super kind and friendly!!

Product is trash!

I have to find another product. This product used to be user friendly with no technical problems. The last few years have been a disaster! Your technology issues and nickel and dime instructions are absurd and a total turn off! Caused delays in filing my taxes and wasted an enormous amount of my time. I will do my taxes manually, if alternative brand can not be located. It is a lot easier and less time consuming!

Nice Job TurboTax Team!

This Year (Tax Year 2024) TurboTax was excellent. No last-minute tax filing issues. I did have some "errors" to correct on the downloads from my brokerages due to the first date of a monthly distribution not being provided, but that is the responsibility of my brokerage. My return was accepted by the IRS in less than a day. This was driven by me providing the personal drivers license info and confirming last years bank info
Way to go Turbotax!
Looking forward to next years smooth sailing.

Okay - new forms aren't well intergrated. Dated.

1. TurboTax is making huge profits without re-investing to modernize their old-school UI software. 2. Newer forms like the Ev-Credit-8936 and 1095-A and Form 8962 have to be manually searched and integrated. This band-aid approach to an expensive piece of software is a disgrace to anyone in the IT field. You all can do better - Intuit needs to get their butts off the floor and refresh this code altogether.
