It was a bit different on a few areas in the program but overall still easy to use. The transmission of state tax electronically should have a tiered billing for those (mine) who have to do taxes for 3 states. Cost gets to be to much

TurboTax is fair.

TurboTax is probably easier to use than figuring out what IRS forms you need and completing them. This goes double for the Byzantine calculations sheets the IRS uses. However, for all of its promises, some of TT's explanations are difficult to understand. I have never had any luck with importing data - W2, 1099's, etc., with TT. It would save me time and effort if you would simply leave that off and the default option is that I type everything in myself.
Another quirk of TT is its inability to scroll down a page by using the tab key. Where TT has check boxes, using the tab key merely switches back and forth from the available choices. I would think that one a selection is made, further pressing the tab key would move the cursor down the page to the next selection, but alas, it doesn't.
Is TT a good product? It does the job, but some changes would make it easier for the thrifty home filer like me. It could be a lot worse (it could have been developed by the IRS and heaven only knows that foolishness that would bring!), but it could also be a lot better.

Continued great software

I have used the software for years and have been very pleased.
This year I had difficulty importing investment income. It would bring in the income types from the firm I was importing from but deleted some interest income that I had already entered for another firm. I'm glad I caught this before filing my taxes.

Otherwise TT continues to be a fantastic software for me and my wife.

Add contextual AI assistance

After using TurboTax for my returns for the past many years, I'm rather accustomed to some of the quirkiness of the application and lack of contextual help when needed. However, I made extensive use of ChatGPT this year to answer questions related to specific types of investments that were difficult to find in the standard TT help docs. It would be ideal if TT 2025 included AI contextual assistance at any point during preparation of returns, as long as the personal data remains private and secure.

I had to re do my tax filing from the beginning due to a weird error ($3B+ ) shown as state refund. The source of the error could not be found even with TURBO TAX expert. Other than that, the App is awesome, the help and support is great, and that is why I have not switch to another App.
