Turbo Tax comes with NO INSTRUCTIONS

I am really disappointed with Turbo Tax. When I first started using Turbo Tax, it was the best program. I just filed 2021 and was told I needed to upgrade to Deluxe to File Schedule D. I upgraded to Deluxe and then was told I needed to upgrade to Premier. I could have done the Schedule D on Deluxe
I did not find any instructions for Form 1099-S. I was taken to 1099-B over and over and no instructions given for 1099-S. None of the information about using JUMP TO form was available to use on the Desktop Version like shown. I had to dig through questions, until I came upon instructions to use the 1099-B for since it was a worksheet and to check no 1099-B received. There was no place to check Then it showed -0- for my sale of property on the form, so I had to figure that out for myself. I also had to go to IRS.gov to get instructions for Forms Schedule D, Form 8948, and how to figure out if prior year State Refunds were taxable (Schedule 1 and worksheet).
This is totally ridiculous since I pay over $100 to file this return. For all the grief I went through trying to get any information, I could have just picked the cheapest Tax Software I could find.

TurboTax is frustrating.

Frustrating. TurboTax seems to be taking more and more mouse clicks to do to the same thing each year (this year interest and dividend income seemed especially inefficient). Also, there are things that TT flags as incorrect and just will not go by. We need the ability to say right there, on that page, "this is the way I want it, you quit worrying about it and go on" rather that entering "override mode" and searching for the entry there. Finally, there is no reason in the world that TT needs a Windows service running in the background ALL THE TIME! It doesn't need a Windows service at all, since it's not for professional tax preparers and therefore will be used for only a short time. But the service runs in the background year-round, wasting cycles. Which has to make you wonder if that service is collecting and reporting our personal information or something similar. I've used TT for many years now, and my frustration level seems to be going up each year.

Errors with no clear fix

I've received this error ind-032-04. The numbers were checked and they are correct, and the same error is returned. Since I can't figure this out on tax day, I've filed an extension. Then when I go to print the forms, I get a box that says there are errors, but there is no way to go find them before printing. This years software seems a bit off.

Like TT but not the extra fees

TT was easy to use but wish the state filing fees and the download fees for state returns were include in the price. Was not expecting that.

2024 version is slow and buggy.

2024 version is slow. Often had to open app several times just to get it to start and when it did, it would shut down without warning or any error messages when opening my file to continue my return.

Software update process is annoying!!!!

Using desktop version. Should not have to check for software updates every single time I sign in.
Also, I experienced difficulty in looking at prior year returns because of software updates. Never had that problem in prior years.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments
