Turbo Tax makes it easy for everyone!

Taxes were easy to complete and send off! I used Turbo Tax Premier because I do my sisters taxes and grandchild's taxes. My sisters have different situations but this version covers them all and makes it easy on me. Try it! You will like it too!!!

Disappointed with this year's TurboTax perfromance

Several negatives this year,
1. First time I tried to save it locked up with a drop down box stuck on the screen and no way to know if I would lose all I had input
2. First time I tried to file, after a long while TurboTax stopped responding and I had to Force Quit it.
3. I bought premier with a free electronic state return, but was forced to buy it at the end, at least I did get the $10 discount, but that was not the promise.

Turbotax Premier works - But bad interface issues

I had a Widely Held Fixed Invetment Trust scenario for GLD and IBIT shares. Turns out the trusts pay fees and pass on the tax repsonsibility as shares sold each month even though my actual shares are not sold. Turbotax does not not how to handle this as there is no cost basis. Worse it puts all these into a list of shares that I need to review and manually update the share info and whether its long or short. That interface sucks. You have to edit each line separately - the problem is the edit button is out of visibiity of the scroll window. And it doesn't do anything even when I increase the TTax window width. So I have to go to the bottom move the horizontal scroll bar to the right then go click the edit button for a line item which will take to a set of screens to update it (these screens had a lot of lag time too). Now imagine doing this for 50 line items. Spent like a good 3 hours. Seriously, you should do something to improve the interface to review and update stock line items

Can't import 1099 from E*Trade, can't correctly auto import W2 Box 14 from household name corporations with 10s of thousands of employees, can not import 1099-B Supplemental common for RSU and Employee stock purchases, doesn't ask you about a federal Identity Protection PIN even if you used on the previous year with TurboTax.

Turbotax is a wonderful product.

I am delighted with how easy the program was to use. The program guided me through all the necessary steps. The only challenge I had was where to enter inheritance information.
