I found most everything explained well. A couple of tings were obscure or repetitive such as some 1099’s go here and some go somewhere later on. You gave to charity and you had this medical expense and business expense so after entering all the data it said my standard deduction was greater than itemized. If ther program had explained “your standard deduction is $this much, and itemized deduction rules are $this much based on Blah, Blah, Blah… do you want to continue or take the Standard Deduction? Also why didn’t it import last years data completely?

Intuit Needs to do Better

Line call-outs in help do not match line numbers in forms. Import from previous year fails to bring over all data into correct places. Forms are not completely updated for 2024 making them look like they are broken. Outstanding Mortgage Principle on Home Int Wkst fields/calculations are wrong. This has been a problem for years.

Heading downhill fast

Your product is really heading in the wrong direction. It's almost feels like you are making the product to require the audit and support services that cost more money. This used to be a good program. Now its getting to be not much more than filling out the paper forms

been using since 2017, always felt good about filing. this year a different story. very confusing, not flexible, different results from last year, no explanations, help was not helpful (had to google). took much longer than before to complete. not sure if i did everything right, like in past years.
