Turbo tax is a sanity saver!

Turbo tax makes it so easy! Each year it pulls in all my relevant information from the prior year and all I have to do is update it. It also imports investment details in a flash and then walks me through everything to help accurately complete the return and submit it timely.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments

I've used your products several years. Only had one issue when I had to switch to an online program, where it required all my information to be re-entered...not fun. Otherwise, programs are user-friendly and help is available if needed.

Not friendly. +Add on Fee surprises.... CHA CHING!

User/Payer discovers TT charges for rebate AFTER filling out all the info. TT should not be profiting from this service, it is simply part of e-filing. Plus $40 is an unearthly high fee for most users. They also make the program not user friendly to simply credit next year's tax payments instead of taking the refund.
TT should not be losing bank account info in transfer.
If you are designing a program to be user friendly, the entire program should be user friendly... not just what benefits the seller of the product.
Fee for filing state should be no higher than what it would cost at the post office to request return receipt.

TurboTax is no longer any good

The end process SUCKS! 1. I can't file an extension within the desktop app, 2. I have to e-file, but there is nothing to indicate I'm filing an extension, 3. You allow electronic filing a State extension, but nothing indicating such at the time of e-filing, 4. The forced, extended e-file payment planned is not reflected in the filing itself on the State extension, 5. I have to fill in the remaining amount if I plan to send 90% by the end of the week electronically. 6. There are no instructions in the app about filing extensions 7. the instructions on the website about filing an extension leave one confused.

Poor 1099-LTC data entry!

The app coverage of 1099-LTC was very poor compared to prior versions of Federal Only apps. This makes me want to work with a new tax software next year. Also the Federal Only apps did a better job of selecting forms completed to work on-- I'm terribly disappointed with this Primier version. I will be evaluating other tax softwares next year that are user friendly towards entering 1099-LTC and rental expenses.
