Good product, I just miss the GOOD ol' days!

I've used it for many years now, but I wish I could still get it on a CD - I do NOT like everything being 'in the cloud' and requiring internet access from beginning to end. Now, with AI complicating things so that we're even more isolated, I'm afraid that the 'average' human being (especially the elderly) will not be able to keep "up-to-date" OR find enough 'expert' tech support when problems arise - as they WILL, with and without power outages or "hacking events".
Just ranting a bit...I'm glad I retired recently, but I miss the good old days (~1990s) when having a Mac or PC on your desk was plenty of 'capability' for doing personal online research, stock trading, etc., with an Ethernet cable and a router.

Should be better polished

TTax would not allow a screen print. Used to help retrieve paperwork
TTax said it imported a 1099-R. then asked who's is it but would not show it.
The imported document has all of the info. Therefore info should be displayed
Had four 1099-R's 2-IRA's and 2 Inherited IRA's

Had to re-assign a 1099-R but TTax kept filling in wrong info after reassignment

Turbo Tax is Great

My experience was ok. After doing my taxes for 55 years and using TT for the latest 15 years of that run I must like TT and I do. I found the purchasing process very difficult and annoyiing. I really wanted to give the direct filing procedures a try but it just didin't wok out. Technically, the material is ok but can always be approved upon. As far as the process itself my suggestion would be to use a risk based method to enable the taxpayer or service professional to collect the information about the return and let AI compile the specific binder of forms and instructions by individual. Let the taxapayers engage in that process.

I CANT IMAGINE DOING TAXES WITHOUT TTAX.... ITS NOT JUST ADDING & SUBTRACTING ... ITS THE FACT THAT YOU GUYS HAVE ALL OF THE INSANE RULES CODED INTO THE PROGRAM ...THANKS TTAX

Medium in frustration. Not good but not horrible:
I have a few stocks in foreign companies, e.g.: Honda, Siemens, BNP Paribas . You asked for more of the information only from one country and not others. I hope this was intentional and not a mistake.
I had to manually enter my information from Treasury Direct - I wish this had been easier.

Needed clarification on use of PINs

I've been using TurboTax for over 20 yrs and will continue to use it. I do wish however that there was a clear explanation of how to use the IRS PIN and the TurboTax PIN. My e-file was rejected last year, and I never knew why. I gave up and mailed it in at the last minute. This year it was rejected again, several times, until I finally figured it out. I suspect the IRS PIN is something that started last year.

I wanted to include some documents to clarify information to the CA tax form. I needed to upload extra documents. Need a way to insert documents that more information on when I actually moved. The driver's license shows 8/22/24. Actually, I start renting the apt. on 6/24/24. I have many documents that show I moved earlier than 8/22/24. They will probably request additional information before sending my refund.
