Been a TT user for many years and every year it "SEEMS" to get harder to do than the previous versions. However, I've always gotten to the finish line, as I did this year, and have never been audited and that's a VERY GOOD THING!!

A little different from years past.

Prefer the old CD. Seems like the presentation of information/explanation was different from years past. Is there still such a thing as "plain" English anymore? Present the information so a reader does not have to interpret what is written; i.e. create the product so it can be read and understood as well as possible using the simplest and interpretive language possible. If you're using AI edit the AI (with humans). Sure, there are instances where a little user research can clarify a presentation, but any doubt can lead to frustration, and frustration in April is not something I seek out. Doesn't have to be this painstaking.

TurboTax botches state return

What good is even a quality tax program if it won't allow you to file your return? TurboTax absolutely refuses to allow me to file my state return with the instruction to make a debit to my bank account to pay my tax due. It requires me to log in to my Turbo Ta x account because - why? The Fed return was processed in the same manner with no issues. Last time for TT.

Turbotax 2024 review

Filed Federal with State. Entering forms went relatively smoothly. I would have liked to be able to print a preparations guide so I could collect and gather information that was needed to fill out the electronic turbotax forms. (for this year, and as a guide to gather stuff for next year.)
