TurboTax is Terrific!

I have used TurboTax to prepare my taxes for the last 17 years, and have never had any problems or audits. I will continue to use it as long as possible!

Great product, one issue.

Biggest complaint is I should be able to click on last years info and see detailed info. That way I can properly compare this years info to last years section by section. Would make reviewing much easier than having to go find my paper copies or reinstall last years turbo tax.

Terrible and inaccurate download

Not all 1099s are downloaded correctly. Has made several errors last year and caused me tax penalty. Can't even download Capital one 1099.

Tried and True Tax Program

I love the way turbotax carries over my information from prior tax year. I did have a bit of trouble finding the forms for contracts and straddles this year. Also, I wish it were easier to click on a box and have it take you directly to the form if you wanted to type in the information yourself rather than answer the questions as there were a few questions that didn't seem to fit exactly. Overall we love using turbotax. We started using the product back when it came with a Itemize It to track your deductions. I am not sure if this is still an option as deductions take a long time for me. However, will keep using Turbotax and always recommend it to friends and family.

TurboTax failing to meet expectations

Was more "buggy" than cheaper versions used in past years. Didn't even ask for my IRS IP Pin. Had to search for how to enter manually. IRS would have rejected my return had I not been proactive with this aspect.

A lot of money to file your taxes yourself. It's ridiculous how many times I was asked/forced to pay more.
