Turbo Tax has been reliable for 3 decades

We've been using Intuit tax software for at more than 25 years, beginning with MacIntax using a dial-up internet connection. The software has been reasonably easy to use and we've not encountered any errors, except once many years ago when we forgot to revisit our state return after changing the federal return. Other than upselling attempts, TurboTax has been a pleasure to use and we've noticed improvements over the years.

I've used Turbo Tax for many years. Income taxes is a stressful process, but Turbo Tax makes it a lot easier for me!!

Nightmare

1.Did have proper taxes from last year
2. I knew I had to depreciate a rental but taxes weren't there for last year. it became a nightmare to find. I could use the Irs forms quicker than it took me
3 State program referred to STATE FORMS , so why have a program if there not there.
4. Truly user unfriendly! why can't it have a search program?

TT is gr8 but there's a bug for MO state e-filers

Actually I think TT is really good but I wanted to pass along that there's a bug at the end for missouri state tax filing that tells you to print and mail in a "1040V payment voucher" even when you've e-filed and paid via direct debit. Of course the reason you e-file and e-pay is to avoid such things and googling confirms TT is wrong it is a bug. The really annoying thing is I know they've left the bug there for *at least* the last 3 years (and maybe longer but I definitely remember it hitting it at least that long).

What I found to be Wong with TurboTax

TurboTax did the forms correctly but printing was a mess.... too many pages and not a federal 8453 (Declaration for Electronic filing) that needs t be signed by both taxpayers. The 8463 that did print asked for the original documents for sales and final K-1s. Today is the 14th and I cannot find the document to sign.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
