Good But Deceptive

Generally very good, however at the end when you choose to pay the state tax out of your federal return, the fee of $45 dollars is ridiculous and where it is makes it hard to see. I almost paid the $45 dollar fee when I did not need to at all and I could have just used my credit card incurring no fee.

TurboTax is okay and makes too many assumptions

Help information wasn't too helpful. It's hard to find what I need when there are over 1200 returned results. In the app I could only access the top 2 results. I think I could have done this faster by hand.

Mass residents who have only a ID Card do not have ISSUE or EXPIRATION dates on their card. Your MASS. form requires ISSUE and EXpiration dates. 4th year asking you to fix this!!!

I had to pay a penalty Turbo didn't tell me about.

I have used Turbo Tax for years without a problem. I just discovered that I owe a penalty for not paying enough taxes throughout the year. I received no popup warning of this penalty. I find this unacceptable. How hard is it to program in a popup warning that a number has been inserted in to a box? As a retiree on Social Security, I feel any hit to my income. In looking back over my prior tax returns I find that I have had to pay this penalty for 5 years. I plan to use a different program next year. For the price I pay for Turbo Tax I feel that a red flag popup about a penalty, for whatever reason, should be something that the program would provide.

Stock Sales was confusing

I have been using TurboTax for so many years that i am unable to count. I have always been very happy with the product. This year is my first time that I had difficulty using a portion of the product. I was filling out stock sales and the UI was at best confusing. It seemed that I could input all line items but it kept throwing them away. I finally decided to enter 1 at a time and that was successful for me. It was a little bump but it cast me 3 hours of making sure everything was entered correctly.
Please accept this as feedback to improve as I am overall happy with the product. Thnaks.

Fast and Easy

Very easy to use. Walks the user through all of the categories of income and expenses, asks relevant questions, and makes suggestions.
