TurboTax is getting worse every year

TurboTax is getting worse every year. Last year I spent a lot of time talking to people at TurboTax about identification numbers for foreign income (pensions). There is no way you can enter that and nobody at TurboTax has the foggiest idea on how to get that. Foreign countries do not have such id number! GET IT!!! This year it was the same problem.
It required a CUSIP number for 1099 INT, but that did not exist. Many years ago, TurboTax worked really well, but now it is a piece of trash!!!!!!!!
A lot of things are very poorly explained. Without the foreign id numbers which do not exist, you CANNOT file electronically.
I will probably stop using TurboTax.

I did not want Audit Defense but $45.00 was added.

I did not elect to purchase Audit Defense. When I was "checking out" just prior to e-filing, $45.00 was added to my checkout for Audit Defense. I went back to previous screens and de-selected Audit Defense but at checkout I was still forced to pay $45.00 before the Turbo Tax program allowed for e-filing.
I needed to file on time and was unable to de-select the Audit Defense so I reluctantly continued the process to e-file with the additional $45.00 added to my checkout.
Please refund me the $45.00.

Print Returns to PDF

The software improves each year. I am reliant on producing pdf files, and would find it very helpful if the pdf files included Acrobat bookmarks within the pdf file.

Pay extra for filing State Return

I give it one start because after having to pay for TurboTax software, I have to waste an hour to pay an additional $25 for filing the state return.

I have been using TurboTax ever since it came out originally as MacInTax. It makes the very complex task of doing our taxes about as easy as it could possible be.

Generally good. Some features re downloading income statements from financial instututes are more complex than necessary and confusing

Awful error check

Your program flagged an error while I was in the process of filing electronic return. It was not flagged in the earlier error check, and if I had printed out the return and mailed it, I never would have seen it. The error message came with almost no explanation - it was not something I understood or knew how to fix.
