Turbo Tax is very intuitive. Have been using it for going on 20 years now. Never had any issues. Huge benefit is that it forces accuracy by completing a thorough review for any errors it finds.

Before we get started, the max I will give a company is 4 stars, The 5th star is reserved for employee(s), when I feel they went above and beyond their duties.
I've been using TurboTax since Americas depended on dial up to gain access to the internet. I've always like the simple questions that the program asks. And at anytime the user can get additional information on the item, and if your wanting to see to the IRS instruction/Form. TurboTax has a web link going to the subject matter. Cutting out all that navigation from the homepage. Here are two related sites that work hand in hand with TurboTax, ItsDeductable and TurboTax Blog for users. Both of these sites will assist in making your annual visit with the tax man a little painful.

Making me feel like a tax pro for almost 40 years!

With Turbo Tax, I feel like a tax accountant - without the degree. It does walk me through everything, if I choose, and I am prepared with the documentation I need each year because I've been using it for almost 40 years!

I like the product but I wish you would stop changing the input format from year to year. I never looks the same and it causes me to be unsure if I have input everything correctly.
Also, the help could be better with links from forms directly to detailed explanations.

TurboTax is great, but let us see the math easily!

TurboTax worked well for Tax year 2024 product. Of course, there were numerous bugs that got worked out as the weeks rolled out after 1st release. I feel good about the product here in mid-April 2025. My big concern is the opaqueness of the math behind many of the line items. TT used to be so clear on how all the math worked for each line. Now, it is challenging, especially on State taxes, to understand how some calculations are made. For this reason, I dropped rating from 5 stars to 4 stars.

Does not handle complex issues

Download from Fidelity Investments is burdensome. Difficulty deleting 1099's that were downloaded in error. The aggregate profit or loss on Section 1256 Option Contracts does not get downloaded from the Fidelity 1099 & reported in the tax return. However, its is reported to the IRS. I noticed it this year & manually fixed, but I did not notice it in 2023 & I will now need to file amended returns for 2023
