As usual, TurboTax helped make the taxes easy. Really like that you can upload information from financial institutions versus typing it all in. Also that it pulls in the previous year's data to make it easier.
My only reason for 4 star this year is I don't really care for the screen that comes up when you ask it to lead your through. The 1099 section while trying to make it simple, is frustrating. I used the section by section instead.

Even now in the 21st century it's popup screens are clunky and look like DOS screens of old. It's help is TERRIBLE - not being able to find the simplest things.

I find turbotax easy to use. that turbotax does not have a built in "calculator" to allow one to do calculations is an inconvenience. I also do not like turbotax constantly asking me to purchase additional products and services.

Turbo Tax is Indispensable

Did the taxes myself. Needed Turbo Tax Primer with capital gains and a house sale. Very easy to complete. I can't imagine doing them by hand.
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments
