Great with one issue...

Ease of filing taxes was great. Step by step with easy directions. Excellent user UI. However, during the finalization process, I could not opt out of the Audit Protection service ($45). I feel like its a sneaky way of charging more to file. I know Intuit has had its issues in the past with deceptive fees. Its my fault for filing late. Next year I'll be switching to a different service.

Turbotax is great except for wages&income UI

I have been using turbotax for at least 15 years. and it has been great. The connect to expert is a great feature and very easy to use. The whole UI is well organized and easy overall. But this year the UI that lists all the different items of wages and income is VERY Bad. My wife and I have separate accounts but in the same financial institutions. It was very hard to figure out how to name them so that I can make sure every account is listed.

Needs competition - getting worse

Overly confusing. New UI tacked onto old UI. Poorly organized. Lots of ads for add on services. Expensive to e-file which makes no sense as it must be less costly than paper filing.

I've been filing my tax returns using TurboTax for over 30 years. I find it both convenient and intuitive. I wouldn't change a thing. I have used the professionals online portion to answer questions and they have been spot on and provided me with solutions to all my questi.
