Foreign Tax credit not clear

Foreign tax credit forms are complicated when received through 1099-DIV. Also Dual taxation forms are not clear on who they will be filled.

Confusing investment sections

Your investment section was very confusing this year.
You should clearly provide different sections for the various kinds of 1099s. I should not to search for them.

Glad I upgraded this year to Premium

This year my investment income was more complicated. I decided level up from Deluxe and I am glad that I did. Between the paperwork from the Broker and Turbo Tax I think I was made the best of a complex process.
I did file later than normal, but I did not want to rush. I don't know about the paid advice, I admit in another year when I made an error in my reporting, I was given bad advice which delayed my resolution. If I had stopped and thought about what I did and what I was being told I think I would not have caused a bigger problem. Truth is that is when you could not call the IRS and speak to anyone period. I am afraid that is most likely going to be the case now with all the layoffs. I think if you don't understand the rules, you probably do need to pay for the advice.

TurboTax Comes Through Again

As a longtime TurboTax user (over 30 years), it always comes through. One of the nice things about TurboTax is that it easily imports the previous year's information, which can be very useful if you're needing that information like depreciation, charity carryover, etc. The only thing is that doesn't always give the reference for some of the calculations.
