Turbo Tax ciould be better

I loaded turbotax onto an external drive. I think this caused a lot of troubles when I tried to upload updates. I could not easily do this = had to manually load each time.

Frustration and Time Consuming

I have used Turbo Tax for more than 15 years. This was my worst experience with the program. The software was unable to properly transfer and download one of my 1099s because there were more than 100 stock transactions as one of the Turbo Tax agents explained. Took over FOUR hours for Janice and I to delete the previously transferred 1099 and re-enter the data in a more summarized form so the program would accept and not reject the data when I got to the final step of the error check. I otherwise could not get the program to finalize the return and transmit the return to the IRS.

Turbo Tax Does A Great Job

I've used turbo tax for a number of years and have found it very helpful in getting me through my taxes. Most years the step by step doesn't pose any issues. When I have an unusual situation, the help docs and online community forum generally get me through the matter.

Form 8949

There should be a way to override incorrect entries. My Form 8949 incorrectly selected box E and I could not override it to select box F. There needs to be a way to fix incorrect entries.

Turbo Tax - Awesome Sauce

I've been using Turbo Tax for years. Over the years the process is easier and easier. As I get older and seeing my thought process is changing at the age of 58+ I know that I will need guidance and having the flexibility completing at home is great. Just hoping they will continue to have the option of explaining tax related items as I get older and may struggle with.
