Some struggles this year

Frustrating that it did not support a Form 8990. Also certain items I completed during the Review Check, I wanted to go back and edit but could not find a way to do that.

Very positive. For those of us who have multiple state tax returns, you should allow the additional state downloads to be both Mac and PC compatible like you do with the Federal and the Free State download.

What is E-Filer Attachment Form?

Everything was simple to walk through. The only thing that was odd was stating that you have to print and send E-Filer Attachment Form. I've never been asked to mail anything in when I efile. AND there was no information or details provided, and the read more did not go anywhere that answered the question.

IRS Identity Protection PIN TurboTax Incompatible

I could not get my Federal or State returns approved because I had obtained an IP PIN with the IRS in September of 2024. The Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) is a six-digit number that prevents someone else from filing a tax return using your Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number. The PIN in my Turbo Tax return would only accept 5 digits. Since the two were not identical, the IRS would not accept my return, which cascaded into a rejection of the state return. After two rejected submissions, I canceled the use of the 6 digit IP PIN and my returns were accepted. Turbo Tax needs to be able to accept a 6 digit IP PIN issued annually by the IRS.

last minute error checking is terrible.

there is always a few very cryptic error messages that cannot be corrected.
Some are as simple as replacing the number "0" with No entry.
Errors on K-1 form were completely immaterial ("missing amount on Box 20, code Z), but were preventing electronic filing (238 pages printed!)
