I have used Turbo Tax to personally prepare my taxes for more than 25 years. I have always found it convenient and like to ability to prepare my taxes independently.

Every year for the last 20 years, Turbo Tax does not let me down when it comes to taxes. The easiest way to prepare the household taxes by far!

With the exception of needing to upgrade my OS the last few years, I've found the tax software easy to use, and I especially like being able to import all the previous tax year information. this saves a lot of time and also helps avoid errors when dealing with a small business of investment income.

Turbo Tax is great, but it frustrating how it requires newer versions of MacOS. I had to buy a new laptop to do my taxes. :(

Good, with a couple irritations

Overall, pretty good. Two irritating issues though. 1) the part about capital loss carry-over, it just spits out the final number, and refuses to show the steps it took to get there. I had to tediously find the IRS form and walk through it to verify correctness. 2) I swear the first E-file page says the state cost is $20 (maybe $25 minus a discount, didn't think I needed to pay much attention to the reasoning, just the final number). Went to file and was surprised that it charged me $25. Not a big price, but it felt like a bait-and-switch, with no explanation for how I could save $5 at that point.
