Turbo Tax is getting more $ and less user friendly

I have used Turbo Tax discs for many many years. I dislike being forced to use the online version with no option to purchase the disc. Various subtle changes on the 2024 filing program are also not an improvement at all. (ie INT and DIV etc) I will research H R Block to do my taxes for next year if nothing changes.

The changes to Int, Div and Stock Sales were not helpful at all and caused me too much additional time to see what I was missing from the prior year. The software kept wanting me to input information for sales of stocks on the Oklahoma return that was not correct. It kept me from filing my Oklahoma return until I input false information.

Price Gouging

The basic software works fine, consistent with how it has worked for the 30 plus years I have used it.
My complaint is the ridiculously expensive add-on fees to file state returns and to 'process electronic refunds'. These fees approach the cost of the software.
I will be looking at alternatives next year.

excellent tax preparation
I hate myself I spent my half of my life to prepare the tax myself. I spent 1000 times more efforts to read the tax law and instructions.

I am new to turbotax as of 2020, did it by hand (well MS excel) for 20 years before that. while I have never tried a tax software other than turbo tax, I have no reason to look elsewhere. see ya next year!
