I had a Pixel before and was expecting great things, but this version has some bugs to work out. Locks up at inconvenient times and only restarting fixes it. Also, it lags when going to certain pages or sites. It shows you went there, but the screen is blank and unresponsive. The camera is amazing, though, and hopefully the bugs will get worked out.
First of all, the camera and display are very impressive. The AI features built into the camera are simple to use, and make my photographs look professional. I can take pictures in the dark for work, and I am still able to read tiny labels from far away.
I like the smaller size Pixel Pro, compared to the Pixel XL's I've had in the past. Fits easier in the hand, more ergonomic. Less weight means more comfort. Smaller size means it fits better in pockets, stands, etc.
I'm also a big fan of the magnetic wireless charging capability. The USB port was always the failure point of every phone I've ever had. Now that's not a problem at all.
And the built-in speakers sound much better than previous Pixels. They even have a little bass, which is unusual for phone speakers.
My 22 year old son loves this phone. He switched from an iPhone to this phone and he has no complaints so far. He is an IT guy and loves the freedom this phone gives him.
I changed my Pixel 8 Pro for the 10 Pro and doesn't feel like an improvement
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had google pixels for years. It was time for an upgrade so I traded my 8 pro in for a 10 pro. I really couldn't tell a difference performance wise. The 10 pro is not as big as the 8 pro, and for me that's ok. One thing I noticed is all my apps i have on my screen are no longer colored, but black and white. I'm not sure if there is a new option in the phone that I've not located but it is what it is for now.
The phone is amazing. Despite not having top of line hardware it doesn't struggle in daily tasks. Camera is beautiful as well. Would definitely recommend purchasing the pixel 10 pro.
This is the buggiest phone I've ever had. I was so excited to come back to a Pixel phone after a 3 year break to an iPhone and it has been so disappointing. This phone lags with almost anything I do. It takes me 10 attempts to put the phone on speaker because the UI rarely responds correctly. Hopefully Google fixes it soon. Do not buy this phone right now.
