Love This Machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Now that I have the Magnifica Evo Next Fully Automatic Espresso Machine I don’t need to go to any coffee shops! Set up was easy and it looks great in my kitchen. We have made espresso, coffee, lattes and everything between with no issues and taste amazing. The frothing works great and so nice that I can keep milk in it in the fridge to pull out when I want to. It is very user friendly with the touch controls and tells you step by step what to do. Cleaning is easy and does most of it with auto clean. Forgot to mention that you can store up four different profiles. Everyone in my house has their own profile for their coffee, which makes it easy every morning to get our coffee!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love, love, love this coffee machine from DeLonghi! I feel like a barista experimenting with different settings and customizing wonderful coffee flavors! It also comes with a small complimentary coffee beans packet which has a great flavor! At first glance, the machine might look a bit complex, but it is super easy to set up. It comes with an instruction manual and DeLonghi’s signature coffee beans! For those who are new to this type of machine, here are some important points that might help you:
1. Before you start using the coffee maker, rinse all the parts that will come into contact with water — the water tank and milk carafe — using drinking water.
2. Switch on the machine, and it will guide you through a few steps. Dip the provided water hardness strip in a cup of drinking water for two seconds. After about a minute, pink squares will appear, indicating the water hardness level. Enter the result when prompted by the machine. If you have hard water, it will suggest inserting the provided water filter into the water tank.
3. Whenever you switch on/off the coffee maker, it will run a quick hot cycle to heat/clean things up. Make sure to place a tray beneath the coffee nozzle to catch any dripping water.
4. After making your coffee, the machine will run a rinse cycle to clean the milk carafe and coffee nozzle.
5. There are separate compartments for loading coffee beans and powder.
6. If you need the coffee extra hot, change the temperature settings under maintenance option.
Overall, it’s very easy to use this espresso machine, even for someone like me who has never used one before!

Great espresso machine for ALL levels

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely LOVE this espresso machine. I had a Breville before this, but this machine is so much better! I’m not going to lie, I was initially intimidated by the amount of steps in the setup guide, but the machine actually steps through the setup in a very easy manner to suit all skill levels. And beyond the setup steps, you can also adjust the grind of your beans which has been fun for me to find the right setting. I love that it grinds beans fresh for each drink and the automated choices are so nice. I feel like there are plenty of drink options to satisfy whatever I’m craving. That said, I do wish that the machine offered a straight latte option, not only a latte macchiato. To make a latte I end up needing to make an espresso first and then separately froth milk. I have tried almost all the options and my favorites are Americanos, hot water for tea, and milk froth. The coffee option is my least favorite, but this is an espresso machine, not a coffee machine so I can’t hold that against it. And once you do pick a drink, you get the option to select your size (small, medium, large, and extra large) and then the strength of the coffee from 0-5. Cleanup is also pretty easy. There’s a container that holds the used grinds until the screen tells you to empty it, and when you go to turn off the machine it empties out anything left in the spout. I haven’t tried it yet, but the ability to set your personal drink is a nice touch. Apart from the latte option, I really have nothing bad to say and have been making drinks at home so much more frequently than going out to buy a drink so I’ve been saving a lot in that department. This will easily be a kitchen staple for me for many years to come.

Feels like I’m back in Italy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine scared me a little bit in the beginning only because I was intimidated by espresso machines in the past, which is why I never had one. This machine couldn’t be easier to use! Not only is the paper guide and online videos helpful, but the machine itself directs you at every stage, making it extremely easy and user-friendly! My one advice is to follow the prompts versus getting ahead only because I made the mistake of putting too much ground coffee in the first time when you only need one scoop. The machine itself directs you through all of this though and is genuinely so easy to use. Heating up and brewing takes no time at all. I haven’t stopped using it over any of my other machines, including my Nespresso machine since I got it, which has also saved me a ton of money over buying individual pods. It’s extremely versatile and allows you to make regular coffee or espresso drinks. My favorite is the cappuccino—I add a little vanilla syrup too it too! The prompts will tell you when you need more water or coffee so it takes the guess work out of everything. The technology feels very modernized which again is very helpful for a tech challenged person like myself. Get yourself some good espresso beans (I really like LavAzza) and I promise you will love this machine too!

The Automatic Espresso Machine of my DREAMS

Product Design 9.5/10:
The machine itself is compact, sleek, and thoughtfully designed. I love that the water reservoir is horizontal and easy to slide out and fill. The water filter is a bonus I wasn’t expecting and really nice to not have to descale often.
The milk jug is compact and I really like that it can be completely closed by an easy switch on the cap. I LOVE that the milk spout is auto cleaned after every cup is made.
I don’t dislike the bean hopper, but I would prefer more space between the grinder and bean hopper so there is less chance of spillage when pouring beans in.
The touch interface is the perfect level of responsiveness.
Functionality/Performance 10/10:
Regardless of what drink you choose, this makes the perfect cup! As a non-dairy milk drinker, a lot of at home espresso machines don’t get non-dairy milk frothy, but this does, perfectly!
It is ACTUALLY quiet for an espresso machine and I am very pleased that it doesn’t beep or make annoying noises.
I like that you can also save selections to a
profile and LOVE that the machine auto cleans before auto turning off.
Overall, I highly recommend and recommend over the twice as expensive Miele!
