Love the 5 cup size...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Glad I got the 5 cup model... mainly I've used it to make fresh salsa, chop onions, carrots and celery for mirepoix. I like the blade system much better than the 3.5 cup also. The machine runs much quieter in comparison to a 4 cup Cuisinart chopper that I had previously. I did have some difficulty at first, not with the lid (which operates quite easily) but with releasing the cup from the base. Used just the tiniest amount of non-stick vegetable spray on the clip areas where the cup attaches to the base and then wiped off. Works perfectly now! Haven't used the whip attachment yet.

Very Handy Kitchen Aide

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this unit a few weeks ago and am very pleased with how it chops. I had hoped it sliced as well for such things as cucumbers. Perhaps that was an errant assumption on my part. Look forward to trying the whipper attachment to make “Schlag.”

Surprised by the efficiency of the 5 cup chopper

I had my 5 cup food chopper for less than a month. I have used it multiple times and today actually made cake batter. Obviously, it is for a small cake but I mashed the bananas, mixed the flour and other dry ingredients, and added melted butter, plus I added the chopped nuts I originally chopped in the food chopper. I didn't know how I would like the fact you have to use the lid to use it but now love it.
It's too bad I did not know about this great chopper sooner. I had a Cuisinart 3 cup chopper which I gave away.

Easy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this mainly to make hummus. There are many brands of small capacity choppers/processors to choose from, but this was one of the few with a 5 cup capacity. I have also used it to make chimichurri sauce - does a great job.
