Disappointing, but useful for simple jobs

I tossed mine yesterday. It couldn't blend oats, ground flaxseed, dates (softened in hot water) and chopped carrots, even after I added some liquid. The unit eventually started smoking and that was the last straw for me. It worked well for hummus, pumpkin oatmeal pancakes and other very moist soft recipes. I'll be investing in a much more powerful unit. Should've saved my $70 and bought the real deal.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The KitchenAid 5 Cup Food Chopper works great and looks good. It is mostly made of plastic. It chopped great though and made some tasty salsa. The bowl and lid can be a little difficult to align but I got used to it quickly. It was pretty easy to clean and I just did it by hand rather than put it in the dishwasher. But the lid and bowl can go in the dishwasher. Overall, for the price, it is a great value and took care of everything we chopped. Good product!

Nice compact food chopper

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This replaced a bulky food processor that had a ton of features that we never used. We use this in addition to our blender and is great for chopping vegetables and herbs without turning them into a smoothie.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The processor works wonderfully. Making pie crust is now so easy, I may have to go on a diet. The only thing a little tricky was figuring out how to get the lid off, but other than that, I love it! It's simple and easy to use and works very well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This chopper is great, it easily chops up chunks of veggies fast and easily. Set up was simple and clean up was simple. I put chunks of onions about an inch thick and it was done with about 3 pulses. I love it!
