Easy to use, chops quick and efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The size of this chopper is convenient for easy storage but it still gets the job done. It comes with the blades but also a whisking tool, which is a nice touch. All of it is dishwasher safe (other than the base) which is super convenient. To open, the lid twists a little to the left as does the base to remove it. You push a button on the lid to control how much chopping you do which was easy. I chopped up a potato just to play around with this, and I cut it into 3 chunks and the chopper very quickly turned it into almost a hash brown consistency. It was so easy. KitchenAid makes extremely high quality products that last years and I am very excited to add this one to my collection!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first, I had problems getting the cover on until I understood how it works. I put a whole avocado in this but, I would recommend chopping up whatever good you want to put in here into smaller pieces which would make it easier to mix up. I like that it chops and can purée food in a very short period of time. I also like that I can pour liquids in the top spout while I have the food turning. The whipping attachment makes quick and easy meringue and mayonnaise. The pitcher, cover and attachments have cleaned nicely in the top rack of my dishwasher. I have this chopper sitting out on my counter top because it doesn’t take up much room and so it is readily available.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 2 cup food processor, and I'm really happy with this larger size. This is great for veggies, etc. I'm about to start making baby food, and this will be great for that. The blades are sharp but low profile. And I love that it has the spiget thing on top so I can drizzle in olive oil!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The KitchenAid 5 Cup Food Chopper works great and looks good. It is mostly made of plastic. It chopped great though and made some tasty salsa. The bowl and lid can be a little difficult to align but I got used to it quickly. It was pretty easy to clean and I just did it by hand rather than put it in the dishwasher. But the lid and bowl can go in the dishwasher. Overall, for the price, it is a great value and took care of everything we chopped. Good product!

We are being more careful with what’s in our food and this is great to assist in making quick breadcrumbs or dressings and marinades.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is just the right size for chopping vegetables or whatever produce you are wanting chopped. It’s 5 cups and has to settings one for purée and one for chopping. It’s very simple and easy to use, the directions are easy to follow and tell you exactly what you need to do. I like how it’s dishwasher safe and it comes clean very easily. I’ve made hummus in it and the texture came out perfect. I definitely recommend this brand and product.

It is also easy to store and is quieter than the food chopper I used to use before getting this one. I would definitely recommend this product.

I bought the Kitchenaid chopper to chop my vegetables for salsa. I could not be more disappointed as the pieces are so small that my salsa comes out very runny. The only thing I might use this machine is for onions, but if I'm chopping everything else, I might as well do the same with the onion. I contacted Kitchenaid and their solution was for me to buy a much more expensive and much larger machine. Kitchenaid must know that it goes, chop, dice and then mince. All I ask is they market the product accurately.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
