Does not compare to previous model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was sold as an equivalent model to my previous processor. The weight is less, there are small plastic parts that when you raise the lid fall out, food gets under the gasket in the lid- with continued use will gasket wear out from cleanup process. I would not buy this again.

Silly top

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the top has been engineered to be difficult to put on. Also the slicer is confusing to use since I can't tell which side to use. It's not clearly marked. Overpriced for its function.

Not what I expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's not what I expected. I find it to be somewhat clunky and especially dislike the hinged top. On a positive note it does what it's supposed to -- chop and blend. I much preferred my older model KA 7 cup processer that was discontinued. I wish that little piece of plastic hadn't broke as I could still be using it.

Best food processor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this processor several weeks ago and I can't enough good things about it. I bought it to make my own nut butter. Best nut butter ever. But I'm using it for many other reasons, like mashed potatoes...my husband is crazy about how creamy this food processor makes them! I'm so pleased with this processor and I'm so glad I did the research and read good reviews like this one.

First food processor, very happy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 7 cup processor because I didn’t want one that’s too big. So far I have made carrot raisin salad & pesto. It’s great for shredding Parmesan cheese! I bought new processor cook books & am excited to try new recipes. I chose Kitchenaid because I heard it’s easy to assemble, take apart & clean. This is all true. I love my new Kitchenaid food processor!!

Great Kitchen Appliance

I will be making recipes that ask to use a food processor now that I wouldn't make before. It was a great price and does a fine job. I am looking forward to using it more as I get use to having it.

Broke after a couple uses

I’ve only used my food processor a handful of times since getting it as a Christmas present a year and a half ago. I can count on two hands how many times I’ve used it. Now it won’t turn on at all and KitchenAid’s customer service won’t do anything to help out their customers except try to get you to buy a new product! Why would I buy a new one when this one broke after only being used 6 times?? Definitely never buying another KitchenAid product ever again.

Processes nuts to a smooth silky consistency.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed an appliance to make peanut and other nut butters. Another appliance I had just left chunks in the final product. This Food Processor whipped up a batch of no-salt, no added sugar or oil nut butter quickly. Can't wait to try it out on other processing needs. Great product. Heavy base, sturdy construction, love it.
