Lovely Machine

This was my first food processor. Loved the size, easy/intuitive to use. Love that there is no twisting involved to lock the bowl and the lid into place. Latch that holds the lid down broke pretty early on, but simply holding lid down solved that. Then daughter used it, well, tried to use it to chop up dates. Motor burned up/froze up, not sure which, but only solution to that problem is to replace. Getting a larger model with more bells and whistles, but will not be allowing dates anywhere near it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Broke after 4 years

Bought this about 4 years ago. Fuse went bad and it no longer works. KitchenAid refuses to fix it even after you jump through all the hoops to talk to anyone.

I received this as a gift for Christmas and I used it that day and just tried to use it yesterday with some cheese -less than 8oz and it froze in the middle of the process and as of today it will not work. I used out for the same amount of cheese the first time with no issues. Since it's a gift I don't think that I can use the warranty due to the fact that I nor the purchaser has the receipt so now I just have a nice looking counter ornament which is disappointing because I love kitchenaid, I've had my trusty kitchen aid mixer for 4 years and its still going strong.

I received this food processor as a wedding gift less than a year ago and within a few times of using it the plastic piece within the blade broke and now it wont spin :( I have read other reviews stating this. I hope Kitchen Aid stands behind their products because I received many Kitchen Aid products as wedding gifts. Besides the blade breaking I loved it so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got my 7cup food processor a couple weeks ago, so I am still playing around with it. I have issues with cutting, slicing, dicing due to injury and was looking into getting processor. And so far it is great, I was able to slice potatoes and kind of made potato chips, it chopped up garlic wonderfully. I used it on onions to see if it could dices, I used the shredder blade and it didn't actually dice perfectly but it worked pretty good to my needs for egg salad etc. I made hummus using the processor and it is great cause you chop garlic and dump everything in and mix with the chop blade. Also used on celery I used the slicer not exactly how I wanted it but I still want to see if shredder will work better. As for tomato not so good, got a few slices but kind of mushed the rest. I think it would work better on a much firmer and smaller tomato like Plum Tomato's. Couple things I wish, was that the chute was bigger to fit a potato or tomato so you don't have to cut in half or quarters. Would be kind of cool if the chute came in various sizes/various inserts (more chutes inside each other the smaller food you can hold) to accommodate various food sizes. I know this is new and I haven't looked into accessories but I hope there are additional blade options like french fry cuts, various slicing thickness etc.. if there aren't then you should come up with additional blade options. Sound- not to loud or annoying. Easy to put together and use. Be kind of interesting if the buttons said, chop, slice, shred instead of low, high, pulse. Cleaning is pretty easy only thing just look out for tiny pieces that might get stuck by the hinge (might be cause I'm a messy cook LOL). I am definitely not a chef and I am still experimenting but so far it has been great using the 7cup processor, and any issues are minimal and are just things I think "I" would like. I would recommend, KitchenAid products have always been good to me... (again hope you do have more blade options).

Great machine

Used it today for the first time, just love this little thing. Soooo easy to use, to clean, no twisting the lid and bowl, and my arthritic wrists and fingers are happy. It has great power, just love it. I was hesitant because of the cost, but now glad I did, well worth the $$$. Thank you Kitchenaid for a simple design, but powerful blender.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh mylanta!!! Shocked, happy, impressed, blown away were some of the words that I screamed literally after the first use of this gorgeous KitchenAid food processor! The parts were simple to come apart to wash before trying it out. It can go on the top rack of the dishwasher but I hand washed mine. It comes with a 2 piece food pusher, 7 cup work bowl, drive adapter, work bowl cover with 2 in 1 feed tube, a reversible slicing/shredding disc and a multipurpose stainless steel blade! With this sweet food processor you can chop, mince, purée, mix, slice and shred! I cannot believe how efficient and practical it really is! I’ve never owned a food price before my KitchenAid but, wow, so ecstatic to have this one as my first! Now I can get food chopped faster for dishes I make or sauces prepared easier! I can do anything and everything I never could before, easier, faster and much prettier then when I do the chopping by hand! The KitchenAid food processor is so easy to use, easy to clean and what a beautiful addition to any kitchen!

Didn’t Work for Long

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my kitchenaid food processor, so that I could make homemade pizza dough. I used it once and my dough came out great! Then I used it another time to make dough and while I was using it, it just turned off. Ever since this I am unable to get the food processor to turn back on. Very disappointed that it will no longer work.
