Design not really thought out.

The shredder blade should sit higher, so you can shred/slice all the way. The chute should be wider. Since the lid comes off, it be nice if kitchen Aid made an accessory lid with a larger chute. I’ve only used once since I’ve gotten it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great in a pinch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this as a gift for Christmas 2018. Needed ground beef but had none on hand so I got a top sirloin out of the freezer and followed directions, great for making ground beef and really easy clean up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this around Thanksgiving, and find it wonderful in it's compactness and simplicity. It's easy to use and the way the lid easily pops off makes it nice to pour and handle. Storing is not a problem either.
