Love the Twist-free lid and so easy to clean!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this last year and got rid of the 5 cup and 11 cup food processors I had. One was too small, one to big...this one is just right! It is easy to clean with the flip top lid and easy to reassemble for use. So glad it doesn't twist on. I had two covers for my old food processors finally break because of the spring action to close them. And when I sliced a lot of onions or peppers for canning, they would get stuck in the old lid and be hard to get out of the crevices. This one is a dream to clean. The performance is great too because it works just as well as the other food processor slicing and dicing and I like the reversible disc that came with it. As a employee of the company who makes these food processors, I'm proud to own something that works this well and stands up to the KitchenAid name and reputation.

This list goes on and on! It’s so simple to clean! I love the color of it. It looks great on my kitchen counter. So easy to use! Couldn’t be happier!

Intelligent Upgrades

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sealed lid and click-in base are nice practical upgrades to this long neglected kitchen appliance. The seal and latch work great. The blades slide easily on and off over the post which make prep and clean-up easy. Being able to simply lift the bowl off with one hand is actually a really nice subtle improvement as well - i didn't realize until my first time using it that having to hold the base and turn the bowl to lift it up was actually an annoying step.....glad they figured that out! The motor feels strong and the controls - as they should be - are simple. Noise levels are quite low - unless your chopping something hard like nuts, but hey, you should expect that.
As usual, KitchenAid produces a handsome unit bearing their typical design simplicity and confident branding. Two cons I'll offer up: 1) The base material is plastic. It could fool you if you're standing at a distance, but you feel it immediately. Would love to see a classic, heavy steel base version. 2) Though you have a sealed top which allows you to pour without leaks, the blades are not secured in place, which means when you go to pour anything out, the blades slide up and allow everything inside to slide under them - pretty frustrating if you'd like to keep working your mixture at all.
All in, though there are a couple more steps to get it to perfection, it's a great unit and will serve you well.

Handy little appliance

I did have an issue with the original one I purchased but Kitchen was very good to work with in getting a replacement. The rep was courteous and the service was fast. I like how the attachments are kept in the mixing bowl. The cleanup is easy as well. I would recommend this product.

first food processor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used a few processors and waited many years to purchase this one. The other processors I used were a mess to clean up, took too much storage space, and their owners complained about the difficulty to set up and take apart. When I found this processor and played with it in the store before purchase, I realized how much simpler it was compared to the others. The processor motor is much quieter. The parts are sturdy and easy to take apart; clean up is a breeze, and I can store it all in one corner of a drawer on my island. So happy with my purchase!
