We are on our 2nd one! The first one stopped mid use. The second one worked great the first time we used it, went to use it again and it won’t turn on at all. Everything attached properly so there should be no reason for it to not turn on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In my home kitchen a knife and a box grater were the only food processors around. We got by with a very modest processor when they first came out. But all the recommendations said we 'needed' an eleven cup processor so I bought a lessor brand enormous processor. It went into the trash after a year of frustration trying to clean and store it, when suddenly the grip just came apart! So we briefly went back to the box grater until this November brought me the KitchenAid - 7 Cup Food Processor. It is light and compact enough to store but it is stylish and portable enough to keep on display. Every part that comes in contact with food can be removed and easily cleaned (a feature not available on some brands). The feed tube is small, and feels a little delicate, but 7 cups of shredded potatoes are enough to fill a 12-inch frying pan. And this Christmas we are restored to a family favorite that calls for 3 cups of roughly ground walnuts. On high, I could blitz it down to paste; but the pulse kept us just perfectly in between. The buttons have a charming light when activated, though the sound difference is a good cue too. I'm feeling inspired to a new breed of hands-free pie crusts using this processor! The KitchenAid brand has stood the test of time with our stand mixer of over 25 years, and our hand mixer of over ten. This product has the lovely curved shoulders and easy clean surfaces we've come to know and love. Like most processors, this product is right-handed; but the bowl lifts off without twisting in either direction. A big help. For our few family favorites that require a processor, this will serve wonderfully.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve only used it a few times but absolutely love it. The instructions are easy to understand. I actually ordered the wrong piece but I’m keeping it. I think I will like it better than the piece I wanted originally.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of the easiest food processors ever to put together, change out discs, and clean. Beautiful sleek design too. Works quickly and not too loud.
After about a year and a half of light use, the food processor stopped working in the middle of making a batch of hummus. There was a slight smell of burnt plastic, so I unplugged it, and let it cool down, and tried turning on again after 15 minutes, 3 hours, and even 8 hours, but had no luck. I double and triple checked that is was getting power, tried multiple outlets, and double checked that everything was assembled correctly. It's a shame that it died after less than 2 years, as I really like the compact size and the way the bowl assembles.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this KitchenAid Food Processor even though I already owned one (a different brand). This KitchenAid is so easy to use. All the parts store inside. It is so easy to clean also. I love using it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son bought me the Kitchen aid food processor for Christmas. He gave it to me early because he saw that I struggle when cooking because I have psoriatic arthritis. When I used it, I just cried. Makes my cooking life easier!
