Perfect Little Machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine was perfect! Cut my chopping time by more than half. Helped make my cooking time a little easier and more enjoyable. The color of course was my favorite (red).
Warning: Be careful! The blades are extremely sharp! My husband found out the hard way.

Grater, not so good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this when a piece broke off the lid of my older (quite old) model. It was the small plastic piece that connected with the bowl that would start the motor. I used it a lot for grating. The newer model is not so great grating!! :) I found a replacement lid on E-Bay and so happy to have my older model back up and running. I sold this one to a friend who hated her Ninja. The rest worked fine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a wonderful addition to any kitchen. There are so many uses and functions. My favorite is to make homemade baby food with it. I know exactly what I am putting into the food so I know there are no extra additives that I dont want. It perfectly purees. I also love that I can chop, make zucchini noodles, julian potatoes all with 1 tool in stead of multiple add on attachments. The possibilities are endless with this food processor. It's also a beautiful red that I dont mind keeping on display on my counter.

Intelligent Upgrades

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sealed lid and click-in base are nice practical upgrades to this long neglected kitchen appliance. The seal and latch work great. The blades slide easily on and off over the post which make prep and clean-up easy. Being able to simply lift the bowl off with one hand is actually a really nice subtle improvement as well - i didn't realize until my first time using it that having to hold the base and turn the bowl to lift it up was actually an annoying step.....glad they figured that out! The motor feels strong and the controls - as they should be - are simple. Noise levels are quite low - unless your chopping something hard like nuts, but hey, you should expect that.
As usual, KitchenAid produces a handsome unit bearing their typical design simplicity and confident branding. Two cons I'll offer up: 1) The base material is plastic. It could fool you if you're standing at a distance, but you feel it immediately. Would love to see a classic, heavy steel base version. 2) Though you have a sealed top which allows you to pour without leaks, the blades are not secured in place, which means when you go to pour anything out, the blades slide up and allow everything inside to slide under them - pretty frustrating if you'd like to keep working your mixture at all.
All in, though there are a couple more steps to get it to perfection, it's a great unit and will serve you well.

The blade is perfectly made for the cooking my family does. Every Sunday night is the whole family and the KitchenAid came in so handy and runs so smoothly and cuts to perfection. I highly recommend the product and will continue to purchase all KitchenAid products!
