Right out of the box, the machine would only function on low. The "High" and "Off/Pulse" buttons are unresponsive. We have to unplug to stop the motor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great, light weight processor. It does a great job on medium to light chopping and processing jobs. We have used it to chop roasted veggies for sauces, grate cheese for fondue, and chop cookies and nuts for pie shells. It does exactly want I purchased it to do. Its light, so its easy to move from the pantry to the worktop, and clean up is very easy. We are very happy with the purchase.
My son bought this for me last week and I used it 3 times to crush cookies for Oreo balls and it just quit in the middle of the 3rd batch. I love my kitchenaid stand mixer but not sure about other products at this point and of course the trash has been picked up!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put off buying this for years and finally did it this fall and I am so glad I did. I have used more than I thought I would. slices and grates quickly and the clean up is a breeze.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided to upgrade my food processor and picked this up last month. Best decision ever. I Love it! I love the feature of the bowl just snaps into place. Making pie crusts are a breeze now.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love and am so impressed with my kitchenaid pro 500 bowl lift mixer. It has changed my life. Between meats, pastas, cookies, breads its unlimited possibilities. All my attachments work great worth every penny.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my processor about 3 weeks ago and I love it. I can cut all my vegetables so quick now. It saves a lot of time .I can make a pie crusts ,sauces , shred cheese and so many more things . I save so much time with my food processor and I am so glad I bought it . Another thing is storing all the pieces inside the bowl .
Was shredding cheese with it and it broke. I understand when you make millions of products your gonna get a bad one here and there. But whay prompted me to write this review it i was I was on hold for 90 minutes trying to get yo customer service. When I finally got through to someone I got nothing but attitude. Was told we put to much cheese in it and it was our fault. How can you put in to much when you have to cut it small to put it in the food processor opening? Like I said im sure we just got a diffective product and I understand its gonna happen. But to get so much attitude and kickback when all I'm asking for us a replacement is unacceptable.
