Works great when it works

I bought this to make baby food. It works great for purées and salsas! I saw the dough blade and tried a dough recipe from the book. Once the dough started to come together, the blade got stuck and the motor stopped working completely. They replaced it, and the warranty process was wonderful! However, a few weeks after i received the replacement, my husband was shredding cheese and a chunk got stuck in the blade and it cut off and the motor completely died AGAIN!
We used each processor only a few times, and now TWO have died on us in less than a year! Not worth the money. I expected more from KitchenAid!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Effective for the basics

With no previous experience with a food processor, my first experience was good, but I wasn't sure if I should expect more. On my 2nd use, things all turned out great. I am going to rely on the instruction book until I get more experience things become more second nature.
I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because, to me, the slicer/grater disc seemed a little light weight. Again, however, I do not have previous experience with food processors and limited experience using this one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dependable Power!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I purchased this I thought it would be average. Value priced I was truly surprised that it performed extremely better than I expected. This is by far my favorite kitchen appliance purchase of the decade. I really enjoy the fact that it can grate ann8 oz block of cheese so quickly and without motor strain like my old GE. Thank you KitchenAid for keeping quality above quantity. I’ll be back for more kitchen appliances.
