[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We made salsa with ingredients from our garden fresh, delicious & so easy. The lid tilts up but stays connected & top shoot makes it easy to add more ingredients. Next day we made a taco salad; shredded the lettuce, chopped the tomatoes & shredded the cheddar cheese in no time! Everything easily comes apart & goes right in the dishwasher! Our new favorite kitchen tool!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing I noticed about this food processor was how light the base was compared to some others I have owned. It also doesn’t have suction cups on the bottom to hold it to the counter (to prevent movement), only rubber feet. However, I would soon be delighted to see that the unit doesn’t slide at all during operation.
Included in the box is the base unit, the 7-cup work bowl, lid, multi-purpose blade, reversible medium slicing/shredding disc, and food pusher ensemble. The clasp on the lid is made of lightweight plastic, so every time I close it I’m worried it will break. The lid hinges and is easily removed from the bowl by lifting straight up when in the vertical position. However, I always forget to remove the food pusher and it ends up flying across the countertop. Also, the food pusher has a slight curvature to it so it can only be inserted one way. Despite this, I have managed to reversed it on occasion and gotten it stuck. I’m not really sure why the design is directional for this component. The parts are easy to remove and clean. While they are dishwasher safe, I prefer to hand wash them. A word of caution, though, the blades are amazingly sharp!
The operating buttons on the base are very easy to use, with a simple press to activate and only three options, Low/High/Pulse. With so many complicated devices on the market, I find this appliance to be very refreshing. It’s also quiet which is ideal for our household since both of us work from home. The unit can be operated with the clasp undone which really concerned me. However, once the lid is opened beyond a certain point, the unit shuts off. Still, it would be nice if the unit didn’t operate with the lid open at all because the blade needs to stay engaged at the top. The cord stows in the bottom of the food processor but not in any organized fashion. The cord simply gets bundled up and shoved underneath.
The slicer does a nice job of slicing veggies. I use it a lot for making salads. I like that the shredder is on the same wheel. You just flip it over and reinsert it. The shredder works great with carrots which is handy for my famous carrot cake. However, my favorite is the multi-purpose blade which I use to blend ripe bananas for a frozen “ice cream” snack which has no added sugar. It takes about 30 seconds to blend and freezes in just a couple of hours. The only issue I have noticed is that the unit doesn’t blend all of the banana pieces completely. There always seems to be a couple of random slices floating around. I’ve even tried using pulse mode, to no avail.
Overall, the KitchenAid 7-Cup Food Processor is a quiet, simple appliance that is easy to clean and takes up little space in my cabinet. It has an attractive design and performs well, with the exception of leaving a few loose bits of food when chopping with the multi-purpose blade. I would recommend it to anyone who cooks on a small/medium scale.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The kitchenaid 7 cup food processor is a great size. You don’t have to keep emptying it out to continue chopping, slicing, etc… when it gets too full. It is very easy to use, and it is not too loud. I love the fact that it is dishwasher safe, and it is big enough for me to hand wash without squeezing my hand in. It seems to be very well made, and have already enjoyed making home made salsa. This will be great for prepping for parties.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this food processor. KitchenAid doesn't cut corners and makes excellent products and this food processor is one of them. Overall very happy with the quality, it's quite compared to a different brand I had, clean up is easy. I love the extra blades, making my own shredded cheese now!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The KitchenAid 7 cup food processor is the perfect addition to any kitchen. The cup capability is the ideal size in my opinion. It’s perfect for soups, salsa, dips and so many other things! I love that the parts are dishwasher safe and that the bowl is so easy to click in place. It’s easy to dry and even better, it’s so easy to store. The food processor does a great job of chopping and dicing food. I highly recommend this food processor from KitchenAid for your cooking everyday needs.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to admit that I own a few food processors. I have previously owned one full sized food processor and I have two smaller ones. One of the smaller ones is from KitchenAid and I absolutely love it which is why I decided to get this larger 7 cup food processor from KitchenAid. The product came in excellent packaging which was very easy to open and get the product out and the manual was very well written and easy to understand. Putting the unit together with the blades was a cinch and I was up and running trying the products in just a few minutes. I started off by Using it to make breading for chicken and I put various textures of product like toast cereal and the lake which all shopped perfectly right away. The pieces were uniform and the mechanism to remove the cup and put it back on is just effortless. I tried the food processor on a number of different food items and also used it to make coleslaw which was incredible as it turned a 25 minute job into a three minute job. Clean up of the cup and blades is made easier because of how well everything comes apart and storage is incredible because everything fits in the cup for storage. As always, KitchenAid products are premium and this is no exception. Most of my small appliances end up in a closet never to be seen again but this one will definitely remain on my counter!!!!

The appliance was super each to set up, use and clean. This fits perfectly in my cabinets and easy to pull out and use as needed. I would highly recommend this product.
