poor lid design and poorly written instructions.

No way to take apart the lid without breaking it. Poor design and instruction video shows it just popping off easily when it is not possible to do.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kitchenaid instructions were poor when setting up the chopper. Also the extra lid with a hinge had no information to ignore or explain. Weird. After fiddling around myself I figured it out. Don’t let China write the instructions!

Love this machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this machine to replace an older Cuisinart version whose blade was showing fatigue cracks. I have now the 5c Kitchenaid and it really is much faster and does a fantastic job of chopping and puréeing foods. It also has a whiping disk! I've never seen that offered on any machine before. It does work well to whip and emulsify quickly.

BEST FOOD CHOPPER ON THE MARKET!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of the handiest appliance I have bought in a long time! The day it arrived, I read the instructions, gave it a quick wash and made the easiest and best homemade salad dressing. The drizzle basin works like a charm. I have pureed strawberries and made my own whipped cream for strawberry whipped cream in only a few minutes This chopper has saved me so much time and work. Time I can spend enjoying my day and family. I also like that it is relatively quiet for a chopper. It is compact so I leave it on my counter with everything I need stored inside. And, I because I use it almost every day.

Very Good - Does the Job!
