It’s very well made! The leather is nice. The color is great. However, it’s smooth, and slips pretty easily off of my shoulder when I try to use as a one shoulder strap. If you use cross body, or around your neck, this is a non issue, and you will love. But the leather itself is smooth and slippery so it falls off my shoulder regularly.
I went with the Long "Amber" strap, as I'm 6'2" and wanted something kinda classy. The new lower-profile clips are way sleeker. The split rings and small guards for them are really nice. The strap looks and feels fantastic! I'm using it on a Nikon ZF, and it seems about perfect. I had been chasing down a simple and elegant strap for a few months now, and I think I may have found it.
I love Peak Design products. I have their leash, everyday backpack, and a 2L pouch all of which have gotten nearly daily usage for the past 4-5 years and are still in fantastic condition.
This strap LOOKS beautiful. I bought it for my black Leica M10 and it is sleek and elegant.
But I have only had it for one week and there is already fraying with little white threads pulling off the strap.
Compare that to the other leather goods I have: harnesses from Desired leather which cost just as much and have survived daily shoots in extreme heat and wear, freezing cold, rain, and more—I don’t think this strap is worth buying.
Excellent quality. Light weight and comfortable compared to other leather straps I have tried. Looks great on both my vintage and modern mirrorless cameras.
