Grind control is perfected on this machine

I had been using the original ORACLE since it was first introduced to the market. I just recycled my 4th Oracle after receiving the Oracle Jet….
Here’s why: the grinder on the Jet, actually works! The reason I was on my fourth Oracle was due to the grinder. After a few years, it always became impossible to get a good shot, even with freshly roasted beans. This newly developed Oracle still allows me to dial in espresso shots, but I no longer need to also adjust my tamping settings, which is really nice…
Also, this heats up immediately! Don’t worry about losing the dual boiler by getting this because you’re going to have your drink even faster. I was amazed at this because I was worried about that.
The steam wand is also kicked up several notches. From microfoam, to purging, and even simplifying the wipe down (milk no longer bakes onto the surface)….brilliant
I also like that my family can now make their own drinks. BRAVO Breville team, you created your best espresso machine yet!

This is a great machine with 2 exceptions. 1) Hot drinks are not quite hot enough even with the brew temp at 205 and milk temp at 165. 2) Auto MilQ does not provide good texture, no matter the settings (tried different milk brands and fat content).

Inconsistent Tamping

I've had this machine for about 5 months now and I am yet to get consistent tamping from it. Most times the coffee in the portafilter is not fully tamped. At first, I thought it was because of the coffee beans I was using (I roast my own), so I decided to buy roasted beans to try. The results are the same. This results in inconsistent pours. A single shot pours anywhere between 20 and 50 seconds with the same beans and grind settings.
I went to the troubleshooting guide and followed some of their suggestions, like wetting the portafilter before dispensing, but the results are the same.
I expected better from a machine at this price point.

The Expresso machine sounds like it’s dying and it’s not working

I bought the Oracle Jet for my wife birthday because she really likes coffee very much. After I received it, took me half of the day to Google search the issues that this machine is having. It’s not pouring water and neither the coffee shot.
on top of that the water filter is leaking water all over the around the machine.
These piece of machine is so expensive and it’s ruining my week. Can someone reply if they had any similar issues ?

Have to work through some kinks ..

I didn't like this machine at first. It took a couple months to work through the wavy tamping issues. I just received an update, and all my tamps are now perfect. I'm not sure if it was the recent update, or if it just took this long to calibrate, but my issue was resolved with a lot of patience, and unfortunately a lot of wasted beans playing with it. Now it's magically working great, and my coffee is amazing. I can't wait for my next cup! If you know a lot about espresso machines, and have the patience to play with the settings, this machine appears to eventually get it right! I will say, the patience was worth it as it's the best espresso I've had!

Extremely bitter shots

I am soooo frustrated with this machine! Simply cannot get a decent shot - I have tried every possible setting, water temp, etc but no luck. I like the Rutamaya Espresso roast and it tastes great w/other machines, just not this.
Almost ready to return

It’s been a great purchase for me! I mainly use to make Lattes, flat whites and cappuccino. Everything from the grinder to milk steamer is spot on. It’s also easy to keep it clean. One of the really handy features is the ability to add water without having to take the tank off.
I would recommend this to a friend!
