I absolutely love this thing. It makes me feel very secure holding my phone, it’s beautiful and well made, and I especially love that there is no adhesive and I don’t have to remove it for wireless charging.

Weak Magnet

This newer version has a weaker magnet, which doesn’t hold my phone up on a wall very well anymore, compared to the very first phone grip I purchased a year ago. Now when I put my phone on a refrigerator or any metal surface, it starts to slide down the surface, and doesn’t stay in one place. My phone is the standard iPhone 13, which isn’t as big as any of the iPhone Plus models which are bigger and heavier. Had I known this I would have just purchased an older version of this grip/stand. The pop out kick stand seems better, which seems to use magnets to keep it in the closed position versus clicking into a closed position as the older versions. My older version of the grip/stand doesn’t click/lock into place anymore, possibly from over use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Attachment

I have had this attachment for two years now and love it. I am a heavy equipment mechanic and this has turned my phone into a quick and easy work light whether using the stand feature or the strong magnetic base. Also great when I am cooking, I can have my phone on the fridge or microwave playing a video. I love how slim it is also, I hardly even notice it being there. It doesn’t sit up any higher than the ridge around my camera lenses on my case. MagSafe stuff works through it too which is nice. I am about to buy another one as the glue has worn down after two years, and it no longer stays glued to my new case. The magnet holds it in place, but I have had it come off of the phone when I place it on heavier metals. That’s to be expected after this length of time and of no fault to the product or manufacturer. All in all, great product and I couldn’t recommend it enough!

Snap grip

Love this new grip. Nice to be able to remove it. Only complaint is it causes my snap grip charger and other magnetic charges to charge hot. Since I can slide it off not really a problem!

Snap Grip 5 “is the one”

Using it on my iPhone 17 Pro Max and this is the one that works best after trying the 4 with adhesive that was terrible! I’m using an ESR clear case and I can charge thru it with my iPhone mag safe charger. The magnet is strong and holds tight and is safe to stick to metal and stay on your iPhone. It’s pricey, I know but it is worth it, so much better than my old pop socket. The pop socket seems so bulky and cumbersome compared to Snap 5. Get it and enjoy it! Highly recommended!

Magnetic “Magic” is Okay

I specially got this so that I can stick my iPhone 16 Pro Max on the gym equipment when I work out. I’ve had Snap Grip Gen 2 version and was pretty happy with it. This version 5 seems to have a weaker magnetic feature, as it can’t seem to handle the weight of my phone. My phone would just slowly slide down any kind of metallic surface.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overall, I’m happy with the snap grip. I ordered the 2 pack, boring black for me and dusty rose for my wife. My boring black has been great but the magnets on wife’s dusty rose are not quite as strong. I submitted a warranty claim and the second one was slightly better, but still not as strong as mine. After looking at them a little more, the inside of mine just says snap grip but both of my wife’s said snap grip 4, even though these were ordered as 5s. They also say pass through charging isn’t guaranteed to work, but works great on mine. It didn’t not work on either of wife’s. In my opinion, they’re on the pricier side for what they are, but still happy with mine.
