Magnetized stronger to phone

I like it better than the Snap 4. No adhesion required! It also comes off my nightstand charger easier with much less wiggling and wincing every morning. For the car magsafe mount, I had to add a metal ring to make it magnetize better, but certainly not a deal breaker. Definitely worth it to not adhere the Snap 5 to my case permanently. The magnetic click of the grip is much quieter and more pleasant than the harsh plastic click of Snap 4 and easier to open since it's less snaps. Since it's becoming less clicky and more clacky, I think some of the rattling could be taken care of too to make it sound even higher end.It somehow keeps improving every version, and even the packaging experience has been elevated substantially.

I’ve had this product on my phone for 2 days now, and the magnetic closure is already not working. While I like the finger grip to stand option, this just feels flimsy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Snap 4 is better, but Snap 5 is fine

My personal experience going from Snap 4 to Snap 5 is that they’ve sacrificed functionality by making the grip purely magnetic instead of a combination of magnetic and adhesive. You could still remove Snap 4 if you needed to, but I never found the need. The fact I have to remove Snap 5 for some wireless charging and to use my mounts is really inconvenient and make it not worth being removable. It also pops off my phone if a drop has enough force on impact. The Snap 5 does not get along with my mounts nearly as well as Snap 4, and I think the soft touch coating makes it worse. I shouldn’t have to jury-rig a solution to make it work with my existing Ohsnap accessories. The mechanism is also much stiffer, which makes it more difficult to open the grip one-handed for me.That said, it’s still a very good product. It’s just that all the “improvements” aren’t improvements at all, in my opinion. I wish they still had Snap 4 available in the Snap 5 colors.

I do like the grip

It is just as advertised. Sturdy, easy to operate. Strong magnets. Only complaint, I have to remove the grip to charge wirelessly. My car has a shelf and I’m unable to charge with the grip on. My wireless charger in the house, same issue. Have to remove the grip and sometimes the generic case.
