Good but not as strong as expected

I had the previous generation, stick on, type ohsnap. It has a way stronger magnetic mount to accessories than this current version. I kind of wonder if they reduced the strength rather than upped it so that it sticks more to the phone than it would to the accessory, making it appear to have stronger attachment to the phone.

Not exactly happy

I think it looks good but after a few short weeks of use the zigzag pieces are already messing up and now it won’t even stay closed. It looks like it was just one of them that wouldn’t fold properly and I didn’t force it. I saw the problem and fixed it but I guess the damage was done already because it won’t stay closed. And for that much money, it’s very irritating to say the least.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Mostly great

I have actually purchased 2 of these and the first one is great. They didn't have the color I wanted in stock so I got a different color. It feels solid and works great. The second one I got, which is the color I wanted, is good, but it is very loose. It feels very flimsy and spins very easily. Maybe that's the way it's supposed to be, but I like the feel of the first one that is tighter and doesn't spin so freely.I have different wireless chargers, not magsafe, and it will only charge on one of them and the Snap Grip 5 gets extremely hot. I have to remove it to use the charger. I will get a magsafe charger and try that.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not as good as Snap Grip 4

The magnets aren’t as strong.It is thicker than the 4.The soft texture feels nice but scratches easily.I mentally feel better if the 5 offered an adhesive as option. (I can visualize scenarios where you can accidentally knock the phone off the grip and the phone falls into the ocean or fall off a ski lift, etc.

Feels flimsy like the plastic is going to eventually to thin and break. The rotation is too loose that we when in kickstand becomes loose and falls over.

No snap in ohsnap

i'm kind of shocked that it's this hard to open up the product with one hand. the whole point is to make the phone easier to handle with one hand. but the opening mechanics are so soft that it fluctuates in this partially-open state that's hard to get my fingers underneath and nothing solid to grip onto. snapping into the kickstand mode is also hard for different mechanical reasons
