Product is actually good. Support is bad.

I converted from a pop socket and wanted the features of a pop socket but also MagSafe so I ordered ohsnap. It was one day shy of eight weeks before I got the product. Multiple emails went unresponded to. I knew it was a pre-order as advertised, but the date changed and there was no communication - even after I reached out proactively around the original date. Vague or no answers for weeks. Just be honest. Like this review. I wanted to give this a one star because of the support, but I actually do like the product. I’m curious how well it will hold up over time but it’s the exact functionality I wanted. So 3 stars.

Magnets don't work. Does not stick to any ohsnap car mounts or charging mounts.

Serious downgrade from my prior Snap Grip 4. Repeatedly fell off car mounts, charging mounts (all ohsnap brand). I'm surprised that my phone didn't break.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good But Not Great

The magnet works great for either just the phone or with different cases like the quad lock pro max mag case. It holds really tight and I have no issues with trusting its hold. The only issues I have are that it doesn’t spin easily and more so after haven’t it opened sometimes it doesn’t want to close again and I’ll have to hold it or press it closed several times before it stays closed. Also the hold of the magnet when attempting to attach the phone to a metal surface is kind of spotty. It can sometimes and slips on others.

Need adhesive back again

I like how thin it is and that it works with MagSafe charging. When I bought it I didn’t realize it didn’t have the adhesive backing anymore like the previous one. It does not stick well to my case and it’s unfortunate because I don’t want to have to buy another case just for this phone grip to work. Had the 4 with the car charging mount and loved that because that grip had a strong adhesive. Love that you can switch cases with this easily but that doesn’t seem worth it to me for a weak magnet on cases

The OhSnap Grip 5 is, without exaggeration, one of the biggest jokes I’ve ever purchased. It took three months to arrive — three months — which is already insane. By the time it showed up, I could’ve ordered raw materials, learned metalworking, and built a better phone grip myself.And for what?For a “grip” with magnets so weak they should come with a warning label: Does Not Grip Anything, Including Your Will to Live. You barely breathe near it and it shifts, falls, or spins like it’s trying to eject itself from the phone out of shame.This thing is marketed like it’s some premium, innovative piece of tech. Let me be crystal clear: I’ve seen cereal box toys with more structural integrity and purpose. I waited a quarter of a year for something that couldn’t hold a refrigerator magnet’s job for five seconds.If you’re thinking about buying one, do literally anything else. Burn the money. Eat the money. Launch it into space. At least then you’ll get entertainment out of it. The OhSnap Grip 5 provides none.This product wasted my time, my patience, and my hope for humanity’s design standards.

Hate the new version

I had the old stick on pop socket and I got a new phone so bought this newer magnetic one. The magnet on it is super weak. I have all MagSafe chargers and it takes alot of fiddling to get it to snap in place. When I use my magsafe car charge if I hit a bump my phone will go flying off the charger. I wish there was still the option to buy the older ones the magnet was so much stronger.

Looks old and worn out after 2 weeks.

I received the white oh snap 5 two weeks ago and I really like the functionality of the grip. However the white started to look dingy within days and is now stained and the outside part is very scratched up already. It looks terrible. Not sure if I will keep using it or go back to my pop socket. Disappointed for sure

Amazing upgrade!

I had the Snap 4 previously and it worked great until I changed cases as the adhesive came off. Then one day as I was cleaning my case the grip fell to the floor and it popped out. The grip wouldn’t rotate and it was constantly coming off any magsafe item I used. THIS NEW SNAP GRIP 5 HAS FIXED EVERY ISSUE! The stringer magnets have made it stay attached to the back and it has been so smooth! DEFINITELY WORTH THE UPGRADE!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!
