Bring back the old design

I recently started using my new Snap Grip 4 after the elastic band on my old one finally snapped. This is my 3rd Snap Grip and I used to love them. Unfortunately, I wish they could just figure out how to make the old band stronger as I am very disappointed with the redesign. The adhesive isn't strong enough and my phone came off the mount crashing onto the floor after only the 2nd day. I had to use superglue to get it to stick. But my biggest complaint is that it is practically impossible to open the grip and use it with just 1 hand. It is also very easy to stick your finger through the wrong opening when trying to use 1-finger mode which is pretty painful. The grip spins so easily now that it doesn't stay where you left it when you last opened it, making it very easy not to realize that it's turned 90 degrees. Finally, the individual pieces of the "accordion" mechanism under the grip also flip inside out very easily making the grip impossible to close. I had finally found an almost-perfect grip, I'm sad I'll have to go back to the drawing board after this one :-(.

Magnets weak

Don’t buy the series 5 their magnets hardly hold anything and they don’t charge through wireless chargers. Go with the series 4 their magnets are awesome.

Serious downgrade

After using the snap4 for years, I got a new phone and decided to buy the snap5. Not only are the magnets nowhere close to being as strong as the snap4 but the snap5 doesn’t work with the car mount. I emailed about the issue and was told they also changed that and I should buy another car mount. Returned the snap5 and sticking with the 4 until it’s unusable.

It is getting dirty and you can’t clean it.

I have the phone stand, with your mag charger, and the oh snap grip , and my own mag safe phone case on my 15 pro and it still charges no problem. Love this rig

Concerned about magnet and losing it

I still love my ohsnap, I just upgraded and was excited about the magnet only and ability to switch out cases easier (I use a super slim case). I’m worried that I’m going to lose it by accident though because it has accidentally come off a few times when place on a really strong metal surface the magnet is left behind. Or it’s slipped of going into my jean pocket

I've been using Ohsnap grips for years. I love my ohsnap 4, but didn't love it was adhesive. When I saw they were releasing the 5, I was excited! First impressions it was great, the magnet that is used to stick to the phone is very strong. But the magnet hold on mounts is very weak. My phone occasionally falls off the mount entirely. You can feel how weak it is when it requires zero effort to pull off any magnetic surface, including mounts. As someone who used this magnetic feature DAILY with my ohsnap 4, this is a very disappointing flaw in the 5.

Snap Grip 5 review after 2 months

Everyone that says it's flimsy, I think gets that word confused with versatile. It is engineered to be lightweight, thin, and extremely durable. The Snap Grip has small notches that should be lined up when using the stand function. I would not hesitate to buy this and have already recommended it to multiple friends and family members. The only thing that I can see as a slight issue for some people would be for anyone that have XXL hands/fingers. And if it's not for you, just return it.
