Weak magnets.

Was very happy with my 4 but I got a 5 recently and the magnets are weaker and the car mount doesnt work with this grip. Very unsatisfied with this experience.

Not what I expected

I wanted to love this product as I love the first gen; however, I am a mag safe user so I routinely switch out the grip for a battery pack. The first gen was great but required to be stuck onto the phone in order for the grip to stay put. This updated gen is advertised as mag safe and unfortunately just does not compare to the mag safe pop socket. This grip pops off my phone often and the grip also doesn’t stay closed after being used for a bit. When I messaged customer service they recommended I keep the grip closed for a few hours so that it can regain its shape 🥲 for the price it’s just not worth it for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Magnet not as strong as snap grip 4

The magnet isn’t as strong as the previous versions, and the ring is also thicker, which makes the phone wobbly when laid flat.

Snap 5 seems liked a step back. Outside magnet is not as strong as 4. Hard to seat on charger and wallet doesn't hold ad well.

Hard to seat on charger and wallet doesn't hold as well. Charger connects even if not fully seated but stops charging without warning. New color and texture is nice. Wish we had a carbon fiber insert.

Oh snap! no adhesive

I had the Grip 4 on my old phone, and the Snap 5 is a great upgrade without the adhesive. I can take it on and off as I need, and it's as low profile and effective as always.

Get it to work with MagSafe charging!

Solid product, works as advertised, fulfills the promise as a good fidget gadget. Nice strong magnets and low profile. Biggest complaint is that it does not work with MagSafe charging. Taking it on and off to charge is annoying. Engineer it to work with MagSafe charging and I would buy it for the other four iPhones in my household and recommend to all other gadget nerds like myself, but cannot recommend to other nerd-level gadget folks.
