Doesn't Stick as well to metal as the Snap Grip 4

As the title says, I tried to stick my Snap Grip 5 to the Oh Snap Magnetic Mount and it doesn't stick that well and just slides off. The Oh Snap 4 grip snaps with no problem and doesn't slide. I also pre ordered 2 of the Oh Snap 5 grips and tried both, but they both slide off of the mount.

weak magnets

I had the Snap 4 on my previous phone and it was great. Strong bond between it and the Snap charge.I was excited when I ordered the Snap 5 with the magnet mount to the Snap case (which is strong and great by the way), however the bond between the grip and the charger is less than desirable. I have one in my truck and the Grip 4 held my phone without fail (only complaint was the snapcharge would slide down the car mount and have to be readjusted, just needed a little lip to stop that) the new Grip 5 however falls off the charger almost every ride..... I have one Grip Stand with charger next to my work CPU and one on my nightstand, both have the same iffy magnetic bond and the phone has already fallen off my nightstand once and didn't charge overnight.....great product, but a step back in the bond between the grip and the charger on the latest version.....

Love - Hate relationship

Likes: gives me better access to "A" key when typing. Comfortable when viewing YouTubeDisappointments: Unit too thick to attach to one of my older desktop multi-device wireless chargers - so traded out another I had in guest room that works fine, Wireless pad in my BWM X3 shows "low power" charging with Oh Snap on - have to take it off to get full power charge. Also, the finger hold is too small for my fingers - makes them go to sleep if using long term; and I have small hands for a man.

Great connivence - Poor charging

I had one of the earlier adhesive version and loved it. Version 5 is great in magnetic holding power and grip. My biggest complaint is that it greatly diminishes the charging capabilities of MagSafe chargers. I keep my phone on a charger stand at work and leave the phone on for music. With this grip attached, the charger can not keep the phone charged for 8 hours even though it is attached the whole time. One of the three types of MagSafe chargers I have will not charge the phone at all. To be fair, the phone is in an Otterbox soft case. Another issue with the MagSafe mounts is that the phone does not “snap” onto the stand or charger as well. You have to align it more than without the Oh Snap grip. Once attached, it does not hold as well, but does not feel like it is going to fall off.

It's decent as a popsocket, but not worth the money as is.

So...I wanted to love this. My husband has a Snap Grip 4, and is absolutely obsessed. I like his but struggle with the removal of his phone off my magsafe charger in my car. That said, I needed something really low profile, so I decided to go for it. I also decided to go for the "upgrade" to the five because I didn't want to attach anything to my case (I can't go caseless. I drop things. This is who I am. But the case is high quality. Has official magsafe. I've never had a problem with charging or magnet...ing to anything. Sweet. Fancy. Moses. What a nightmare. The Snap Grip 5 attaches to the case/phone fine. But it won't connect to anything else reliably. It only charges periodically on my anker magsafe device (which is a total workhorse and I've never had trouble) UPSIDEDOWN. It flew off my anker magsafe car charger middrive and hit my kid when she was bent over trying to get something out of her school bag. I don't trust it enough to attach it to the magnetic part of our fridge like my husband uses his, which was one of the main reasons why I got it. Basically...I'm not happy. I wish I would have either just gotten the higher profile popsocket that would have been cheaper and done the same thing that I'm doing now (take it off for everything and use it the same way) OR gotten the Snap Grip 4. I'll most likely return.

One Finger Hold

After some time using the one finger hold through the cap I could not get the devise to close in lock position. It seems you can stretch out to the point where closure back to flat is difficult. After rubbing the top in a circular motion many many times it finally stayed closed.

The magnets that hold it to the phone are actually strong enough to hold it to the phone 🤯the other brand I had before would stay stuck on whatever I stuck it on when I picked up the phone. The plastic supports inside are more substantial than the 3 that I had on my old phone too. I like it so far!

Didn't work as advertised

Pop socket didn't work, first even with a thin case magnet wouldn't hold. Even with the case off the magnet slid easly on a galaxy s24+. Then they advertise it will charge wireless but it wouldn't. Ruined my case trying to get it to work because I really wanted it to.
