Disappointing

If your only goal is to hold your phone in your hand it would probably be adequate but it's not durable enough for anything more like using it to stand your phone up. The plastic feels very flimsy

Mixed Feelings

I have mixed fillings on the Snap 5.Although adhesive is no longer required to have a secure attachment to your phone or phone case is very nice. The grip is less secure on phone mounts and just the slightest bump or touch can cause it to fall off your mount.

For the most part it’s ok. The little plastic extendable piece are pretty flimsy. When I put my finger through it, some bend the other way which causes it not to snap shut. The stand option doesn’t stay locked in place. The magnet is strong though so it stays on metal pretty well. For the price I just expected a bit better.

I placed this new one on a new phone case and my phone no longer stays on my car mount or my mounted chargers. I was excited to get this one to be able to move to a new case when I get a new phone, but not at the expense of the magnet strength. It makes it completely obsolete for my needs.

Great Concept, But Poor Real-World Performance

I really wanted to like the OhSnap 5 — the idea of a magnetic, adhesive-free grip sounded perfect at first. Unfortunately, in everyday use it just doesn’t hold up. I received mine on October 9th, and it kept detaching from my phone several times until it finally fell off completely and was lost.For people like me who constantly put their phones in and out of their pockets throughout the day, the OhSnap 5 simply isn’t practical. The magnetic connection is too weak to stay secure during normal use.I’ve used OhSnap products before and love the quality of the older Snap Grip 4 with the adhesive back — it’s reliable and actually stays in place. I hope the company takes this feedback seriously, because the concept is good, but the execution of the Snap 5 needs improvement.

I love this next GEN fob because it is awesome! I love being able to move it to different cases with no issue whatsoever and it always has a really strong bond wherever you put it! I also got the car mount and I love that as well if you’re needing something along the lines of this type of fob or something for your car, I highly recommend it

Got the magnets just right

With Snap Grip 4, my phone frequently detached, staying stuck to the magnetic mount/charger. Snap Grip 5 resolves this—now the phone remains securely attached while driving but releases easily when removed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I like the feel of Snap Grip:5 and how thin it is but it often doesn't just lay flat nicely as expected. I have to make sure it doesn't bend when closing.
