Misleading advertising with wallet

The short video clearly shows the grip fitting under the oh snap wallet. I have the wallet with the grip and wanted another so I could detach my wallet when I get home and still have a grip. Wallet is fine. A little hard to close after using it for a while. Yes the wallet will attach to the grip but it’s miles away from the phone and the bottomed magnets don’t attach so it just spins. Don’t buy if you intend to put the grip under the wallet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

LOVED IT!! Until...

I loved this thing from the moment I got it. However, it recently broke at the hinges and is useless. I looked at the warranty and it is only covered if it breaks with in 1 year. Mine lasted 1.5 years, just outside the warranty coverage. If I knew it wouldn’t last long, I would’ve gotten a pop socket.Also, I got the bundle with the wireless charger. I had to use the wireless charger when my case and snap grip weren’t on it because it would get too hot. Don’t buy it if this trait sold you on it.

Older version worked better

I was very excited when this new version came out, but after having one for the last 3 years, I was disappointed that it didn't function as well as the old one. It doesn't charge through some of my chargers and the magnetic hold isn't as good. It falls off my car charger/mount. I have to remove the grip for these chargers, which is inconvenient. I never had these issues with the old one.

the bottom mag safe magnet is strong but the outside magnet is very weak tends to fall off of stands and other magnetic mounts very easily.

Downgrade from Snap 4 Luxe

I bought two of these as soon as I got the e-mail about the launch. I've been with OhSnap since the Kickstarter days, back when it was a large pill shape. I've absolutely loved every iteration of the Snap Grip, but this is the first time I feel that the grip took a legit step backwards. First, the pros: I absolutely love the texture of the new grip. It is very smooth to the touch. I also like the strength of the kickstand- it feels a bit more secure than the Snap 4 I'm using now. Now for the cons: the magnets. I have a Pixel 10 Pro XL with a DBrand Ghost 2.0 case. My Snap 4 Luxe attaches magnetically, but I have the use the adhesive backing just for some extra piece of mind. The Snap 4 holds my phone to any magnetic surface without issue. It's a firm grip, and I use it on refrigerators, filing cabinets, stovetop hoods,.. you name it, I've probably attached my phone to it. I attached the Snap 5 to my phone, and the grip hold to the phone decently well, but the magnets on the back of the grip are AWFUL. I attached my phone to the fridge and watched as it slowly sank under the weight of my phone. I took off my case and tried again with the exact same results. I even tried my cousin's iPhone 16 Pro and got the same results. I know the goal was to make pass-thru MagSafe easier to use, but when using a Belkin QI 2.2 charger, I have absolutely no issues with MagSafe and my Snap 4. I can even charge though my case with no loss in efficiency.The biggest reason I use this grip is for the magnetic back- I always have a convenient place to stick my phone. Without that, I don't see a reason to use this. If the magnets don't stick strongly to metal, I sure as heck wouldn't trust them to hold a MagSafe wallet. I'm not sure if maybe this intro batch was a fluke, but I cannot in good conscience recommend this product. Stick with a Snap 4 if you can.

Car snap mount issue

Not compatible with snap mount and paint easily chips. Other than that, magnet is strong on metal surfaces. Guarrenteed will no fall off a metallic wall.
