Good, but not great

I absolutely love OhSnap but this one disappointed me. The MagSafe is a great idea, however I can no longer use my new grip with my car mount as the magnet is not strong enough and the magnets on the outside do not stick to other magnet friendly accessories, such as tripods as well .

I had the Snap Grip 4 for about a year and it did an ok job. Over time it started to give way, partially my fault but partially by design. This one has way better magnets, and just works so much better.The only downside is the kickstand use can "slip" so it's not at sturdy. But I would buy this version over and over again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does not work well with leather MousCase!! 😞

Bought two of the new snap grip 5. Mine work well using a MousCase that is mostly plastic, however my wife’s MousCase has a thin layer of leather on the back, nothing thick... but the snap grip 5 refuses to charge on a magsafe. Frustrating to say the least. She must remove the snap grip everytime she needs to charge. 🤦🏼♂️
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Magnetic vs glue

Glue one could be added to a case this one can not go outside a case.It does popOff I am afraid I will lose my phone or it will fall as magic is strong but notStrong enough that it doesn’t fall off

The magnet is SO weak. My phone literally falls off of every oh snap product I have and it’s incredibly annoying. I want to return this for the old grip.

Love the utility

great idea. I like how slim it is and it’s pretty easy to open and flex to allow finger insertion or just use the disc. Issue I have is it will not allow charging through my phone case. Spigen Tough Armor / iPhone 17 Pro Max. Able to use device periodically when I remember to pick up after charging to place on back of phone. Shelf mode / landscape works fine but portrait mode is a no-go for bigger phones. I don’t use shelf mode often if at all.

Loving this new version BUT

I've asked over the years for a version of this that didn't need adhesive and we finally got it. Awesome. Same great grip. Would be perfect except for the fact the soft touch ring on the white grip I got immediately got "stained" and dirty looking from placing the grip on a door. I've never had a grip from ohsnap get dirty like this so quickly (inclusive of white ones) and I have to believe it's because of the soft touch material. Really a shame because this magsafe version is everything I wanted it to be.

Bummed that I can’t leave the grip on while charging

The main reason I bought this was I got a new car, and it has a built in charging pad. I was getting tired of having to take my pop socket off for my phone to get a charge on the pad. Turns out with this product I STILL have to take the grip off to charge. I’m bummed.
